Set behind a sandstone wall with classic Spanish Mission touches, a curved balcony on the facade and an arched entry gate, charming doesn't cover it.
What better investment property for the 37-year-old co-founder of Atlassian software company, who is revealed as the buyer after it settled in a company name, of which he is the sole owner. Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar again topped the BRW Young Rich List last year, with a combined wealth of $4.6 billion, making it the fifth time they've taken the top spot since 2007.
The property was formerly owned by Francis Douglas, QC, before CannonBrookes fought off good competition to buy it under the hammer through Michael Pallier, ofSotheby's International, and Sally Hampshire, ofLaing+Simmons Double Bay.
Cannon-Brookes, who bought his Centennial Park trophy home in 2015 for $12 million, has also added a 390-hectare hobby farm in the Southern Highlands to his property portfolio.
